Having been lucky enough to be blessed with 3 kids, I have had SO much fun designing their rooms over the years! Now, I know that decorators and interior designers would have you believe that a child's room should ideally be transitional from when they're a toddler all the way up to their teenage years, requiring little change. What the heck kind of fun is that??!? My kids get re-designs on their rooms every 2-3 years and I believe nothing is too much or over the top! They're KIDS and their bedrooms should fun, safe sanctuaries - a place to read and learn and think and PLAY and create and DREAM.
I'll admit that for a while, back when my youngest started school full time and I had eons of free time in front of me again for the first time in10 years (or so I sillily thought - is "sillily" a word? it totally should be!) I toyed with the idea of doing creative kids bedrooms as a business. I went so far as to make a name, create a logo and originally registered Red Tulip Design Studio as a domain for this business back in 2013. But here I am 4 years later, still deciding... but still decorating! :)
I should mention that my mom, Inge, has been my artistic partner in the concept and creation of each room. She helped with color selections, painting, accessories shopping, and all placement of artwork (which for some reason I hate and am terrible at!). So, when I talk about "we" in the description of each room, I mean my mom and me!
